It also makes sense because when I was running my old PC I would constantly receive them near some of the addon airports I run, specifically FSDT JFK and ORD. FSDT sceneries are odd in that you'll be flying along, and poof, they'll load into the scenery. The part, probably milliseconds, before the poof is where I used to get g3d's all the time. I never knew about this cool little Process Explorer app! If I had that I'm confident that I would have seen FSX approach max vram size. What I don't understand is why sometimes users will receive a g3d CTD instead of an OOM, or vice versa. Either way they've got to be related since the g3d.dll is apparently the backbone of the FSX engine... not sure where I read that. One more thing I wanted to add was that I feel this CTD/OOM situation is not related to overclocking and/or stability issues. I've seen a few devs blame theses errors on OCing. If you have an unstable OC you'll know when P95, OCCT, IBT crashes or you get a BSOD. I used to have BSOD's in flight sim (with my old old 4.5 GHz settings). Those are certainly hardware issues and usually an unstable clock indicator.

G3d.dll is the three-dimensional portion of the graphics engine used in FSX. It contains the BGL interpreter. Ryan: did you check the event manager ?

I contacted AdvancedPCTweaker about the suggested malicious link to their site. (See the posts above) This was the answer:Hi Jan,Thanks for your information. We have contacted ESET and required them to correct this mistake. We have been negotiating with them these days regarding this issue. We will contact the publisher of Bit Defender virus Programs immediately and inform you as soon as they release the update of their program. Thanks,BunnyAdvancedPCTweaker Customer Support Team[email protected]www.advancedpctweaker.com2011-08-24

With a arrogant response like that and signed Bunny, I suggest everyone steer in the other direction and fast.

Cheers, Andy.

The fact that they "repair" .dll's is enough to steer me away. More like destroy. How can their software repair a FSX .dll?
