August 26, 201114 yr I'm all for "mo betta than real" over "as real as it gets", personally! I mean come on, that's have the beauty of a simulation--you can make it do anything! If you are more inclined to align yourself w/ those who espouse "as real as it gets" then the next time you crash be sure to delete your NGX and purchase a new one . . . though you probably will be in no shape to be able to any who! This about sums up my feelings too. It is a GAME. You make all these realism demands on PMDG then plough the aircraft into the ground and are quite happy when it restarts like magic on the end of the runway or wherever. As for callouts, re-record the V1 callout and wait a second or two and add 'rotate' to it....good enough for a GAME. Andrew Vincent
August 26, 201114 yr Commercial Member V1 callout settings are stored according to aircraft rego along with a few other settings, and that configuration file is in the livery folder. eg. D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-800NGX WL\Texture.QF1\[REGO].cfg Every time you install the hotfix, liveries have to be reinstalled. So you lose that file. Long story short, every time we install the hotfixes, you have to re-do a few settings. backup that config file before you do it next time and replace it after reinstalling the livery. That's not the location of the live config files - those are in FSX\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\Aircraft. The file in the texture folder is what comes with the livery and it gets copied over to the aircraft folder by the livery manager when you install one. Just back up your Aircraft folder and restore that - that'll save any customizations you made. (we do mention this in the Intro manual...) Ryan, I find that the backup folder inside the aircraft folder seems to be over-riding the ini file in the aircraft folder. I made the changes in the aircraft file but they never took. When I looked at the backup file they were as what was displayed onscreen. Changed the backup ini and it was working as per the changes. August 26, 201114 yr +1 def... I didn't but after reading the forums and watching vids from PMDG and aoa i knew. But read manuals guys. Defjam. U fix it in the CDU.PMDG setup. And find it somewhere in there. Thank you, I'll have a look It is not enough to say again and again, to read manuals . Even reading them again and again, we can miss or not understand something...Is the intro manual an extensive manual describing all the configurations possibilities of the PMDG sotware ? Because I've been unable to find where it is explain that the V1 callout can be activate/desactivate ?Thanks Raoul Gutierrez
