Precision Flight Controls and the new NG

Featured Replies

I got the PFC throttle console as well. At first, the spoiler and gear lever would not work. However with fsuipc, I have everything on the console working properly. I used the axis, button and calibration tabs within fsuipc to assign everything. I will not be at my computer until this weekend to post specifics on how but rest assured the NGX is flying just fine with the exception of not seeing the cyan marks on the N1 to show were your throttles are and when advancing the throttles to 40% & at takeoff and then hitting TO/GA, once I retard the throttles on the console, it causes the engines to temporarily spool down though the a/t d does correct it.

It can be done using mouse macros in FSUIPC: 1.- save this to a file called NGX.mcro

1=GEAR DOWN=RX4af00*X8bcc2=GEAR UP=RX4af00*X8bcc,31

2.- assign a button to "gear down" and another one to gear up. ngxgeardownfsuipc.png

Eric,When you get back to your computer - I would really appreciate seeing exactly how you set the throttles in your PFC quad. I have an old Jetliner console from PFC and performance is sketchy. I have attempted to follow Pete Dowson's instructions of basically assigning it a non-operating profile in the PFC dll then trying to define the axis in fsuipc. I think Pete's instructions were to send the axis to fsuipc for calibration, which I have done and calibrated them. Once back in FSX however, I get only intermittment and jerky performance. I am presently installing a new serial adapter in my computer try an improve performance. Thanks. Will Chambers

Will, no problem, I will pm you my ini files for the pfc and fsuipc. Be aware that I have the throttle console with the four engine attachment. I have the two middle throttles working, the spoiler, great lever and flaps. As well, I did not have to do anything to get the throttles working. I have the old serial plug as well and use a serial to usb adapter. Give me until Sunday to get it to your pm box.
