August 16, 201114 yr It was doing so well until hotfix 2 .... 18-26 fps and no freezes at all.Now with hotfix3 .... 5-8fps ..... 3 flights until now with the same results. Well ... i´ll stop with these "hot fixes" and wait for the sp1. It´s better. August 16, 201114 yr Author Well, something really bad happened with hotfix3. Just got a skeleton plane. NEVER got that before. August 16, 201114 yr I saw that as well today after my last flight when i went back to the main window.. It was weird..
August 16, 201114 yr Author Interesting Pam...I just did a flight with the pmdg j41 with the same situation and my fps stayed at the top (30 fps limited) ... i think it´s better to wait for the sp1. August 16, 201114 yr yeah when i switch to external model sometimes i get a brief moment where a small part of the plane gets skeleton issues but'it quickly goes normal. This ddnt happen before hotfix 3
August 17, 201114 yr Same here. I'm showing the wings, nose cone, doors and a big box with the PMDG logo on it as the cockpit. It still displays a full shadow on the ground. It seems to come from my EZCA views. When I shut down EZCA the default views are normal.I'll try to reload EZCA and see if that fixes it but I think I'll stay away from any of the Hotfix because everything was fine before.I only installed the hotfix 3 because I got tired of changing the minimums from 18,000 to 100 on saved flights. August 17, 201114 yr Commercial Member Guys,We are not making major changes in these hotfixes - it's tiny things that should not be affecting performance hugely. There are no changes to the models at all since release either - these hotfixes are gauges only. I don't understand where this could be coming from - I'm definitely not seeing it myself. August 17, 201114 yr As I posted in the Dome light thread, Only the 900 WL was updated to 2922, the 800,800WL 900 still 2916 and no dome lights. PMDG, FYI What is weird, the hotfix renamed the original air cfg to "old" but version number remains 2916 on the 800WL. The 900WL with the new version number does not have the dome fix. Go figure I am going to wait for SP1.So check your aircraft configs version numbers. I don't have the issues as described above, just the configs not updated correctly. ( as I can see hotfix 3 is no different to #2)
August 17, 201114 yr My problem is now fixed by simply running the EZCA FSX Configure again.I guess EZCA was seeing it as a new aircraft since the update. Quick easy fix. My apologizes. Jim Cranford
August 17, 201114 yr As I posted in the Dome light thread, Only the 900 WL was updated to 2922, the 800,800WL 900 still 2916 and no dome lights. Go figure I am going to wait for SP1.So check your aircraft configs version numbers. I don't have the issues as described above, just the configs not updated correctly. ( as I can see hotfix 3 is no different to #2) In my installation, the aircraft.cfg updated to 2922 for all versions except the 800WL, which remained at 2916. I ran the installation again - same result. Then, I manually re-named the 800WL aircraft.cfg to "acfg.bak", and ran the installer again. This time it worked, and created the new 2922 version of aircraft.cfg in the 800WL folder. I'm curious as to whether the hotfix installer is looking for a specific time/date stamp on the aircraft.cfg files in order to decide if they should be modified/updated? The reason I ask: I have not flown, or even loaded, the 800 non-winglet version, nor either of the 900s - so their cfg files have never been modified by the sim itself - and those are the cfg files which the patch installer did update. All my flights have been in the 800WL in AA and DL liveries. The aircraft.cfg for the 800WL is stamped with a new time/date every time I save an 800WL flight and exit the sim. August 17, 201114 yr Think you might be on to it Jim. I also have only flown the 800WL, but some I have not flown were not updated.also,
August 17, 201114 yr To me (at least in first 20 minutes in flight) change FPS with base package (hotfix 1 and 2) 10-15 FPS in VC, to 15-20 FPS!!! Israel D' Oleo Ochoa
August 17, 201114 yr i installed the first two hot fixes and manually entered the dome fix. My FPS isn't single digits, but it has dropped about 5 and there is a general loss of smoothness. I appreciate the other bugs being fixed(duct pressure and pax loading), but why weren't these fixes mentioned?
August 17, 201114 yr Commercial Member Guys, the cfgs are not actually changing in these hotfixes aside from the small things like the dome fix and the version number. Nothing in the aircraft.cfg is affecting FPS, trust me. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
August 17, 201114 yr Tabs, maybe the gauge changes are affecting the FPS? I would really like to know why you didn't mention the duct pressure and pax loading fixes, I feel like your trying to hide bugs and quietly fix them.
