Just Flight A320 thoughts

On default scenery/aircraft. With my laptop I get 60 FPS + on default A321 and cruising. The problem is the Airbus X is 100x more detailed (visually) than the default stuff. The VC is extremely detailed and there are no 2D's so you must fly from it. Simply put, your laptop might run it on minimum settings, but not on medium or above. I dont know about the JF A320. I've heard its not much better than the default. I hope you are taking into mind the Airbus X's minimum requirements which include throttle and joystick. You CANNOT fly it with a keyboard.

Like I said, I have a joystick plugged into my laptop.

The Aerosoft Airbux X is supposed to be FPS friendly . But again nothing can be said how well it would perform on your setup.

Can I run the JFA320 on my system?

- Jay Hutchinson

Yes. So long as the graphics sliders stay below 50%

What would an average desktop computer cost? One that runs FSX fairly decent.

- Jay Hutchinson

For one that will run FSX on almost max settings easily, $1000+

Hehehehe I posted about your desktop in the other topic under mobo's and stuff. A decent one is the i5 2500k, with Nvidia 560ti (but other's are using different cards) with 4 GB for stable performance HDD's you could go for the 1TB's or the 500 GB's , SSD pricing I am not aware of, a decent 22' inch a DVD , and win 7. I can tell you the price in INR, dolllar value I would not know. There are online shops , many members have ordered from.

I had a look at a youtube video of that airbus X. TBH it looks kind of nasty compared to the new PMDG737, which is probaly understandable, but is it nearly as good or actually nowhere near as good? I never intend to buy a addon aircraft that is less than first class again. There is just not enough simming time to waste...

Systems wise, nowhere near. It uses the default FSX flight plan, but it does allow for some control over climb/cruise/decent profiles, Init data etc. Visually, not as good as the NGX again, but it still is a great looking bird. Look at the aerosoft pictures.
