Is this okay for payware?

You need throttles as well. It's not the joystick thats the problem, the standard mouse joystick works, but the ingame throttles are controlled 100% by hardware throttles, keyboard doesnt work. I shouldn't really bother telling you this because that laptop isnt going to run the Airbus X anyway. Its far too visually detailed.
My joystick has a throttle in it.
Really low settings in FSX and you'll be fine. I don't believe you are getting "30fps" mostly. Yeah, in flight, high above... Setup takeoff on the airport with AirbusX VC, good luck on getting 30fps. You'll really need to go low with settings.
On the ground it is about 25 FPS but in the air it is about 30 to 40 FPS depending on where I am in the world.

30 fps is good. Jayflies737, have posted the Just flight link on your previous post , your lappy may not cut it well. Throttle is really an advantage, I made mine from an old logitech joystick , nothing great but it does the work. and even better if you have rudder pedals which is needed for centering the gravity during a bank or during a taxi or during stalls. Hey why don't you go for the i5 2500k (a desktop system) if you have a budget .

My joystick is the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Is the i5 2500k good to run FSX? How much does it cost?

well the whole system will be somewhere from $1100+. That lappy wont run the Airbus X fullstop. Oh. So I should just stick with the default aircraft? Thanks for all your help!

On that laptop yes. If you get a desktop, then you should be okay so long as you get a decent one

Guys. You're all failing to notice that he's running a laptop there. And btw, you need a throttle and joystick for the airbus x. Keyboard won't work. To be honest, that system is never going to run the airbus x. Yes, it's systems may be pretty basic, but the quality of the VC which you have got to fly from (there is no 2D) is really high.
I don't think a single one of us failed to notice this is a laptop... What for this: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T5550 @ 1.83GHzAnd this: NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS I stand by what I said earlier. We've been doing this a while.Whistle.gifThe OP obviously wasn't asking for advice on a new rig.

Right, that I believe you. But with Airbus X, you'll see other results. VC is not that easy on frames.
