August 17, 201114 yr Hi, Why are the landing lights switched off after take off rather than above 10,000 ft? This causes problems with FSCaptain, and FSPassengers. Thanks Ian R Tyldesley

August 24, 201114 yr Commercial Member We closely followed the SOPs in the PMDG J41 manual, which come from RSR's old airline. I'd have to re-check the SOPs, but we modeled it pretty much word for word. At what altitude are the landing lights coming off? Cheers, B. August 24, 201114 yr Author Immediately after take off as part of the "after take off" function. Thanks Ian R Tyldesley
August 25, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi, I just refreshed my memory by looking at my manuals. FO’S AFTER TAKEOFF FLOW- APR SWITCH OFF- LANDING, TAXI & ICE OBSERVATION LIGHTS OFF- CONDITION LEVERS 96 TO 100 PERCENT FO’S ACTIONS PASSING 10,000- CONSPIC LIGHTS OFF- TAIL FLOOD LIGHT TO NAV- CYCLE SEATBELT SWITCH OFF THEN ON TO NOTIFY FA STERILE COCKPIT OVER- PROP SYNC ON So the behavior is correct: it's not a bug what you described. You'll just need to see if you can stop FSPassengers from penalizing you for having the lights off below 10,000 feet (not all airlines leave the landing lights on till 10,000... the MD-11 also turns the landing lights off early after wheels up). August 25, 201114 yr Author Thanks Bryan, i didn't say it was a bug. Just FSP and FSCaptain both want the lights on below 10,000. I have disabled it, it just is a little irksome. Ian R Tyldesley
