August 19, 201114 yr Hi,This is not really a LINDA support question, but I hope I can use your expert knowledge about HID devices. I have borrowed an old cirrus yoke, and I can buy it if I want, but wanted to check it out first. I have some problems with some of the buttons:I wanted to use button 5 for trim down, and 4 for trim up, so I assigned Trim down to button 5 press and button 5 repeat. Likewise, I assigned trim up to button 4 press, and button 4 repeat. Button 4 works as expected, pushing and releasing it trims a little bit, holding it trims a lot.Button 5 however works only on the press, not on the repeat. The trim wheel kinda shakes when I just keep the button down, it does not rotate. I then tried to switch the buttons around, the trim assigned to button 5 still had problems. Next I tried assigning the buttons in FSUIPC instead of LINDA. The same thing happened. Here is a little log of first pressing and holding 5, then pressing and holding 4: 611805 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611805 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 611805 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65607, Param=0 611820 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, (Result 4) 611820 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611867 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, (RepeatOk sets 2) 611867 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611867 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 611867 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65607, Param=0 611867 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, (Result 4) 611867 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611898 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, (RepeatOk sets 2) 611898 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611898 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 611898 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65607, Param=0 611914 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, (Result 4) 611914 [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0 611961 Button changed: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=0, Released 613957 Button changed: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1, Pressed 613957 [buttons] 5=R1,1,C65615,0 613957 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1 (RepeatDelayCtr=1) 613957 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65615, Param=0 614098 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1, (RepeatOk sets 2) 614098 [buttons] 5=R1,1,C65615,0 614098 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 614098 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65615, Param=0 614129 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1, (RepeatOk sets 2) 614129 [buttons] 5=R1,1,C65615,0 614129 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 614129 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65615, Param=0 614160 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1, (RepeatOk sets 2) 614160 [buttons] 5=R1,1,C65615,0 614160 Repeating flag set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1 (RepeatDelayCtr=11) 614160 FS Control Sent: Ctrl=65615, Param=0 614191 Button held, flags=X05, repeat set: bRef=0, Joy=1, Btn=1, (RepeatOk sets 2) To my uninitiated eye it looks like both buttons repeat as they should, but still it did not work for one of the buttons in FSX. Can you see whats going wrong?I am wondering if I should buy this yoke or not. Helge Helge Rasmussen
August 19, 201114 yr If you are testing this with the NGX then you will only be able to trim nose down a relatively short way, I believe I read that it was limited to 3.0 or something like that, if it is the NGX you are having issues with have you tried it with another aircraft? Cheers, Andy.
August 19, 201114 yr Author I am trying with the default Cessna . I think there's no doubt there is some hardware issue as I can trim the other way if I switch the buttons around. Helge Rasmussen
August 20, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hi Helge, I see a little diffrence in configurution for those buttons: [buttons] 4=R1,0,C65607,0[buttons] 5=R1,1,C65615,0 Not sure what does the second parameter means..Try to assign the same buttons directly in the FSX settings (not FSUIPC).. and may be you should try to assign faulty button to some other action, like landing light toggle to see if it will really toggle while you pressing the button. August 20, 201114 yr Hi,the second parameter is the button number, so R1,0 is Repeat Joystick 1 , Button 0 With kind regardsRoland PohlVice chairman FSC e.V.
