August 19, 201114 yr HELP! I thought this had been resolved days ago. I needed to restore my VISTA 64 to a date before I had installed 737NGX. When I completed this (to remove an upgrade driver that was producing errors) it necessitated that I re-install 737NGX. When I first purchased and downloaded on 8/6 I received E-mail with purchase code and license #. When I installed and began using the program it never asked me for license information. NOW when I tried to use the plane after my new install, I got the same problem stated in the activation thread dated 8/13. My screen went black so I alt-tabbed to my desktop and there was a popup asking for an activation code. I just assumed that must mean my activation license so I carefully copied and pasted it in the blank but an error appeared stating that I had an invalid license and my FSX immediately displayed a fatal error and began a restart. I repeated this to make sure I hadn't made a typo or copied my license wrong but same result. I then tried my purchase code but same result. Is there a different "activation code" that is now being given out to new purchasers but was not given to those of us who first purchased when it was released? If so how do I get this code? Or is this still the unresolved activation issue? I have tweaked my system and was very anxious to run some performance tests today but I now can't even activate the program!!! Any help from anyone would be appreciated greatly!

August 19, 201114 yr Author I have opened a ticket but I still haven't been acknowledged or answered about the outstanding tickets I have from 2 weeks ago. I don't hold out much hope for a quick answer, particularly with weekend nigh upon us. Hoping someone else who has had this problem has discovered a work-around. I probably would not have the problem with the 16Aug fix version but the original version worked better than the 1st fix version I tried so I want to go back to the original. I am a bit gun-shy of these fixed versions - seem to introduce many new issues.

August 22, 201114 yr Author That makes sense since I have reset my computer to a previous restore point to undue an updated driver installation that is causing texture corruption issues. Not sure how to handle - maybe change to the same date as orignal installation(?) I have placed a support ticket (my third for various issues) and not heard back from PMDG on any of them
