August 20, 201114 yr All I can say is: redownload the latest offcial complete installer package (which contains the latest hotfix), deinstall the NGX completely (wipe any remaining folders manually after deinstall) and reinstall from the new complete installer package. I had issues after installing hotfix over hotfix, but straightened everything out by proceding as described above. You might want to give that a try.I have a separate post refering to exactly this. In other words, should every body (having problems or not) redownload the installer and reinstall NGX, rather than install Hotfix 3? Rick Hobbs
August 20, 201114 yr I have a separate post refering to exactly this. In other words, should every body (having problems or not) redownload the installer and reinstall NGX, rather than install Hotfix 3? The hotfixes are not on the main installer yet, as far as I know. If you install clean, you will not have any of the hotfixes which PMDG suggests installing. I was also having FSX OOM crashes and crashes over certain scenery after installing the NGX. All of it has been resolved and non of it was related to the NGX or any of the hotfixes.I have been making great flights with the NGX with no problems.FSX crashes after setting up a flight and taking off, or preparing to land at a destination, are extremely frustrating and we tend to look to blaming the latest software, but one would be wasting time trying to find the solutions to their woes in the NGX software. That is not where the problems exist.Search with Google (leaving out NGX) for solutions and you'll eventually solve the problems. There is tons of others that experience the same FSX crashes that don't have the NGX.The NGX is more demanding and may expose any flaws in your existing setup. Robert Yunque

Having said that, i have not had a problem other than saving a flight if airborn. Yet PMDG says there "is" problems with the originally released version and that you should install the HF3. My only question is related to which way to update. Rick Hobbs

August 20, 201114 yr If you download the latest installer, the version it installs is the same as the version HF3 updates to. August 21, 201114 yr What makes you say that? To my knowledge, they have made not announcement that the installer includes the hotfixes. Can you put a link to that announcement? Bob I believe that if you go into your account and to the downloader for the NGX, it states the version which matches HF3. Rick Hobbs
August 21, 201114 yr I believe that if you go into your account and to the downloader for the NGX, it states the version which matches HF3. No, I checked and it just says"PMDG 737NGX Base Package for FSX". Nothing about any hotfixes. Robert Yunque
August 21, 201114 yr I think if people are running in to problems they should upgrade to hotfix3 and then post about their issues as this will give pmdg information based on the latest build. If, like me, I have the NGX stable and smooth on vanilla NGX there's no need to upgrade yet. Personally, I will wait for SP1 as my NGX runs perfectly fine. Chris Farrell
August 21, 201114 yr No, I checked and it just says"PMDG 737NGX Base Package for FSX". Nothing about any hotfixes. My apologies. You are correct. However, you are wrong in respect to it not including HF3. If you open the 'Readme' file that comes with the Installer, the last 'Devlopement History' entry reads: 16AUG11: 1.00.2922 - RTM & HotFix Updated. I had just forgotten where i read it.Regards, Rick Hobbs
