FSX External Models And FS9

Featured Replies

Hi I'm just curious is it possible to use the external model of a fsx plane in fs9? I know you cant use gauges from fsx in fs9 but what about models? Thanks Lee

That´s an interresting question. The other way round is no problem but from this side... I really don´t know. But I suppose that it isn´t applicable cause of the new way FSX models are made.

Best regards, Steffen

You could try, but I think it wouldn't work. If it's a native FSX model, it won't work in FS9 because, for as far as I know, the model compiler works differently and includes features that FS9 can't handle. It'd be the same as when I once tried a FS2000 model in FS98. The aircraft appeared in the list, but the model did not appear.

Why not just try yourself?
