Not confirmed. Flight could easily make use of it, but being Microsoft, I doubt it

My feeling for Flight is MS will code it right for the existing hardware but hey yeah it's microsoft so you never know, as everyone here says buy the SB with an IB up-gradable board they are right.

I still don't like the idea of HT. A true 8 core would probably smash a quad core with HT. I think it'll only ever be useful for media. It literally slows the boot time on my friends system.

Ok, so I purchased the i5-2500k for the CPU, and ASRock Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3 for the MOBO... First question, are there any tips or steps that I need to know before simply turning off the computer, removing the existing chip and mobo and reinstalling the new ones? I know this is a general question, but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

just be careful with static, always check earthing, and you are going to open the cabinet just clean it up and also clean the fans. And before putting the power pins on the board check that the PSU is not connected to the mains just remove the damn power cable from the wall socket . There is a habit with people when trying to screw in those screws they either drop the screwdriver on the board or it slips when tightening it :). Put the HS properly on the CPU. Hey take your time to fit in the stuff.

Did the i5 come with a heat sink? I didn't know they did until reading up on it but I haven't been able to find any solid info on what kind of heat sink. Cheap I'm sure but what is it like?

Don't even bother installing the stock heat sink. Replace that sucker with something decent enough that you don't even have to worry about temperatures.

I plan on continuing to use the CPU Cooler Master Intel Core i5 compatible Hyper TX3 Socket 775/1156/AMD 130W 92mm "heatpipe direct contact" that I used previously. I just need some more of the thermal paste (not sure where to find that just yet...)

The best is Artic MX-4 thermal paste.
