Stand Numbers don't appear!

Featured Replies

Hi, I have recently started flying as a member on Vatsim. I expected to be pretty rubbish at it because it is so professional, but despite this I can manage to do a good flight without any major mishaps :) Every time I request pushback on Vatsim they ask for your stand number. Now I've seen videos on the internet where people can see the stand number right in front of them. My FSX has basic scenery because my dad won't let me buy any scenery packages. Can anybody help me with this and show me where I can get stand numbers to appear on my FSX. Oh and I am based in the UK, if that has anything to do with it :D ThanksMatt

The stand number is part of the addon scenery that those people making the videos have. You could take a note of the gate that you select when you start your flight in FSX (unless you are starting on the runway and then slewing to the gate before connecting to vatsim) You would be better off finding an airport chart (for your departure as well as your destination airports). This will list the gates and their numbers. You can then refer to this when on Vatsim. You're chart will also show the taxiways which you will need to know when the controller gives you your taxiway instructions.

Its absolutely critical that you have all the charts for both your departure and arrival airport when you fly online on networks like VATSIM

When you select your airport, open the dropdown menu where it shows your launch location and choose your gate/ramp location then give that to the controller when asked..
