August 26, 201114 yr Greetings All, For those interested, DigitalThemePark has just started a loop around the PNW area using GA aircraft. We had our first flight yesterday, meandering from KSHN to S18. Our next route is going to be S18 -> 11S -> KNOW -> W28 on 8/27(Sat) 1600Z, 9a PDT/12p EDT. No GPS / Real time / Real weather for the area. Most of us in A2A Piper Cubs, some in the Cessna 172 and some in the A2A spitfire (wow, what an aircraft that Spitfire is). For more details, connect your TeamSpeak to ts3.digitalthemepark.com and someone will be there to introduce you as a DTP citizen. We are gathering in the AoA Events channel. In the channel detail screen to the right, you will find more details of the route(s) and points of interest. I would suggest getting connected early in order to make sure your headset fully works before the actual flight. We like to be prompt and not waste avgas idling on the airfield. :) btw: Feel free to connect anytime. I am sure several flights will be going on tonight as well. -Todd, aka Zoolander64 -Todd
August 26, 201114 yr Hey is it only for simmers with the NGX or any simmer who flies light aircrafts ? Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
August 26, 201114 yr Author Open to any simmer any aircraft. There are VATSIM flights and GA flights. You get to pick what you want. We also take suggestions. You got a flight you want to take with a group of folks, just let us know. It is all about having fun and getting to know your fellow pilot. I forgot about the birddog, that one would fit in nicely. Should I pick that one up? How are the physics? When AoA releases their 737 training, we are all setup with discussion groups, training areas and such as well. -Todd

August 27, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, We had 12 GA pilots today(8/27) and had a great time. Weather was typical for the coastal area; overcast and low visibility. Clouds burned off at Crescent Lake and really had a good time. It was nice of the Coast Guard(KNOW) to allow us to touch-n-go at their private airport. We are now all tied done at Seqium airport (W28) for a look around the town. Our next route is going to be W28->2WA3->KORS->38WA->38W on 9/1(Thurs) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDT. No GPS / Real time / Real weather. For more details, connect your TeamSpeak to ts3.digitalthemepark.com and someone will be there to introduce you as a DTP citizen. September 2, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, Another successful flight. We got through Leg 3 of our trip around the Pacific Northwest. Luckily, we had good weather and dead reckoning skills seemed to pay off. Leg 3 Route: W28->2WA3->KORS->38WA->38W (95.1nm). KORS was a fantastic location for lunch. Several of use talked to the local bi-plane owner that gives thrill rides around the area. We made it to 38W (Lynden, WA) just in time for ice cream and a look around the dairy farms. Lots of cows, smells like cows. I will have to leave the Cubs windows open to eventually get that smell out! We take off again 9/4(Sun) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real Charts. Leg 4 Route: 38W->WA12->WA56->3W5->6S9 (94.2nm) (Slower Aircraft)Leg 4 Alternate Route: 38W->WN08->3W5->WA34->6S9 (139.8nm) (Faster Aircraft) Two possible routes this time. One for slower planes like the A2A Piper Cub and the alternate route for faster planes. Care has to be taken on this one, since it will be deep in the Cascades. Easy to get lost. Make sure to bring extra supplies and fuel. Will also have to take into consideration the extra weight. For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd
September 5, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, Another successful flight. We got through Leg 4 of our trip around the Pacific Northwest. This one was up into the Cascades to small grass airstrip that we are camping at. Those tundra tires really paid off. It was a long slow climb up and over Cascade Pass, but we all made it. We have setup camp and enjoying the warmth of the campfire. Although we had good weather, it was a bit of a challenge with not getting lost. We all had a few problems with navigation and it really added to the depth of what a bush pilot may go through. None of us expected such realism in mountain navigation. We take off again 9/8(Thur) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real Charts. Leg 5 Route: 6S9->5WA5->W20 (118.6nm) (Slower Aircraft)Leg 5 Alternate Route: 6S9->2SO->WT03->5WA5->W20 (162.6nm) (Faster Aircraft) Two possible routes again. One for slower planes like the A2A Piper Cub and the alternate route for faster planes. A little less pressure as we are following Lake Chelan for most of the way.For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd, aka Zoolander64 -Todd
September 7, 201114 yr I'm not a real world pilot but ohh man the feel and shake of the birddog is great. You really have to fly it , it has a great seat of the pants "feel" to it... I highly recommend it. Ciao!
September 9, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, Good to know about the BirdDog. The guys have also been flying in the RealAir Scout as well. Seems to be a favorite. Well again I report that we had another successful flight. A bit of a hiccup at first with FSHost. We are going to migrate to a FSX Multiplayer Direct Connect to IP from here on out. Seems better than having everyone open up hardware firewall ports. We got through Leg 5 of our trip around the Pacific Northwest. This one was South East through Lake Chelan, out of the Cascades, past Wenatchee, WA and off to W20 (Moses Lake Airport). I traded in my tundra tires for smaller wheels and it reduced my drag. We passed KMWH, the alternative US space shuttle landing site. My gosh that runway is long! We take off again 9/11(Sun) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real Charts. Next through the famous Stevens Pass, following the railroad and Highway 2:Leg 6 Route: W20->8S2->27W->S88 (105.6nm) For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd
September 12, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, Moses Lake to Skykomish State Airport. After leaving the dry W20 area, we were off into the Cascades again. The highlight was Wenatchee State Park with 12,623 feet of waterfront. The faster aircraft had time to put a line in to catch some fish. A nice area. We headed off into the mountains and landed at S88. You would not want to visit this grass field outside of daylight hours. Hard enough to land with sunlight! We take off again 9/15(Thur) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real Charts. Next through Fall City:Leg 7 Route: S88->S86->1WA6->4W0->KESW (75.7nm) For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd
September 16, 201114 yr Author Greetings All,Skykomish State to Easton State. Weather was terrible. Fogged in. Since it was not VFR, so we decided to use Orbx Weather Set 1. It was still cloudy, but it was okay for simulator flying. We headed West then South through Fall City. It is a very narrow landing strip. We decided to park and watch Nick from AoA land the Spitfire. That really was fun to watch. Nick is takin a likin to that aircraft and really getting good at it. After our quick break it was off to Easton. Another great flight! We are off again 9/18(Sun) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real ChartsNext to Trout Lake (Mt Adams):Leg 8 Route: KESW->4S6->66WA (115.2nm)For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd
September 19, 201114 yr Author Greetings All, Due to Internet issues, I was unable to make the flight. I hope all went well. Here is the information for the next upcoming flight We are off again 9/22(Thur) 2100Z, 2p PDT/5p EDTReal Weather / Real Time / Real Charts Next to Mt St. Helens and Seaside, OR:Leg 9 Route: 66WA->56S (118.1nm) For more details, see the first post to connect to our TeamSpeak server. -Todd
