Hello everybody, I am planning to get GEX and was wondering what impact does it have on performance?thanks

GEX comes in three continents now. Assuming No. America or Euope, i have no issues with FPS No. Amer. or Europe. Using with PMDG 737 still not a problem for my sys. Check out this forum for more info. Cannot comment on Africa/ Middle East version. http://www.simforums...ms/forum38.html

No performance impact in any of the three GEX areas. (The developer mentioned at one point that there might even be a small performance benefit, although I cannot say that I've ever noticed it).

Performance is generally better with GEX installed than it is without as the developers spent a lot of time optimising the autogen that is placed on the textures, so as to keep something called draw calls balanced through out all the different texture sheets. The advantage of this is a more stable frame rate that is far less likely to massively fluctuate like you would get over some areas of default textures.

Ultimate Terrain X can definitely have a performance impact. The nice thing about it, though, is that it is highly customizable - if a feature proves to be to much for your system, you can very easily deactivate it.
