September 9, 201114 yr Heading mode will only follow what YOU enter for a heading, it will not adjust for wind. If it does adjust for wind, it's a bug. I fly with heading and speed modes all the time after the TD and have never seen it adjust for wind, either before or after the SP's Jay
September 9, 201114 yr I don't think anyone (me included) is complaining about anything. I was merely agreeing with the O/P that the HDG SEL causes the aircraft to follow a track and not heading. I meant complaining in the sense "arguing that the airplane does something different than what it is supposed to". If you look at the OP again, he is in fact saying the exact the opposite of you - he is expecting the plane to follow the a track of 323 when he enters 323 and presses heading select. Instead he gets a track of 330 degrees because wind is pushing him off course.
