September 9, 201114 yr the fact fsx is a 5 year old software with ancient technology.just cancel "aircraft cast shadows on itself" in fsx options. and if it intrests u, what causes this is a low resolution shadow map which is used to cast the shadow. September 10, 201114 yr Commercial Member Cancelling shadows will certainly hide that, and will improve your performance a little. But I wonder if that's FSX, or the aircraft model itself?
