February 13, 20179 yr Chock, thanks a million for this lenghty explanation. I have checke dthe GL handle, and it has no effect on this issue. After landing no matter what I do, the elevator freezes, and only the ailerons move. The GL lever can be in either position, it will not help. Only when I relad and restart the aircraft am I able to uise the elevators again.
February 13, 20179 yr I'll see what I can figure out. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 13, 20179 yr You can in most FMCs, although FMC types vary, and how realistically they are simulated in FS add-on aeroplanes varies too. Sometimes you do it on the 'Fix' page of your FMC, if it has such a page, or by either placing an offset position from an existing waypoint, or entering Lat and Long co-ordinates. Try entering something based on an offset from an existing VOR or waypoint, i.e. like this: 'HON090/50', theoretically that would give you an offset waypoint position 50 miles East of the Honiley (Hon) VOR. You can see I've done that here in the iFly 737 NG, the HON waypoint you can see is the actual position of the Honiley VOR, the HON01 waypoint was created by typing HON090/50 in the scratchpad and then sticking that in the flight plan as the next waypoint (090 is the degrees heading from the actual HON waypoint's true location, 50 is how many miles away from it my custom waypoint is located). This is a handy trick to know if your FMC database cannot find a waypoint you need: Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 13, 20179 yr Thanks for the screenie. On this ATR when I hit FIX and an unknown WPT name is entered, nothing happens, ie. I have nop options to add coordinates. There is a page where the LSK has USER WPOINTS, but when I push that button it returns NOT ALLOWED on the scratchpad.
February 13, 20179 yr Just type it in and try sticking it in your plan on the legs/route page, might work, might not. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
