September 29, 201114 yr Hey guys, I was wondering if the latest hotfix of Sept. 25 fixed the multiplayer problem. If it did, I would buy it right now. I only fly in multiplayer so it would be a big thing to me. AdamBVA
September 29, 201114 yr What specific multiplayer 'problem' are you referring to? If you mean the 'shared cockpit', the word is/was that it will be available later. Jay
September 29, 201114 yr The is UDP flooding which prevents you from flying in most servers. Gotcha, that seems a problem for some, but so far I havent seen it, using FSINN. Jay
September 29, 201114 yr Author It's not a problem for FSINN users................. The problem is with FSX multipayer.......
September 29, 201114 yr It's not a problem for FSINN users................. The problem is with FSX multipayer....... I flew on that for years and also never had the problem. As long as we stayed out of the default lobby, the only issue was an occasional disconnect, but that was very rare. Jay
September 29, 201114 yr Author What do you mean you flew on it for a couple of year? The 737ngx only has been out for a month....
September 29, 201114 yr Was going to post something earlier but was looking for the thread from RSR. PMDG uses Simconnect and they have no intention of doing it any other way. Unless FSX Multiplayer can be upgraded to use Simconnect your outta luck. Paul Deemer

So you can spare your money or buy the Ifly 737 NGX which works flawless in FSX gamespy multiplayer. We have done all we can with this without compromising the functionality of the airplane - the fact of the matter is that it's always going to generate a lot of SimConnect event calls - it is Microsoft's fault that we don't have a way to filter these. They ALL get broadcast to everyone connected to the server while on a default FS Multiplayer session. There is nothing we can do about this and no further development time will be spent on this.Ryan MaziarzTechnical SupportPMDG Simulations, LLC.www.precisionmanuals.com Regards, Marcel Status: Waiting for a PMDG 737 NGX FSX gamespy Multiplayer hotfix
September 29, 201114 yr Why noy just fly on another multiplayer server? Anders Weber ATPL(A) Student EKBI - Billund, Denmark
September 29, 201114 yr Why noy just fly on another multiplayer server? Yeah thats a good idea. VATSIM and IVAO do not have this problem with their client software. They also happen to be some of the biggest networks out there. At any given point of time there are hundreds of pilots online. Check them out. http://www.vatsim.net/ http://network.ivao.aero/ The NGX works flawlessly on these networks and there are no UDP Flooding issues. Paul Deemer
September 29, 201114 yr The NGX works flawlessly on these networks[...] No, not really. The NGX also causes issues at IVAO network. You should be aware of it Paul, since you are very active here, Regards, Marcel Status: Waiting for a PMDG 737 NGX FSX gamespy Multiplayer hotfix
September 29, 201114 yr The NGX also causes issues at IVAO network Yeah I should pay more attention to IVAO issues. I been flying on VATSIM since 2002 so I am kinda biased and never really pay much attention to those threads. Update: Just got done reading the IVAO threads. They using FSUIPC like FS Multiplayer and not Simconnect. In that case VATSIM or Bust! http://www.vatsim.net/ Like your new Profile pic Ryan. But what is Vit@min? Tried searching for it online and of course the only links I got were for Health Care. Paul Deemer

Thank you for the technical reason why the 737NGX cannot be made to be compatible with FSX Multiplayer. If only someone had told me that earlier, I would have understood, and not made such a big issue about it.I think I finally understand now - my fault for being a little slow. -- I'm so Sorry.
