Assign button to clock/stopwatch?

Featured Replies

Hi all, I can't seem to find the clock in Settings > Controls. I want to set either joystick buttons or keyboard controls to it. Anyone know where I can find it? thanks,Andrew
HelloYou will be able to do this using a registered Fsuipc either using the mouse macro facility (depending on how the gauge is written)or using Fsuipc's button programming, Fsuipc has many more control functions available compared to the FSX assignments pages. The following controls are available through Fsuipc.CLOCK_HOURS_DECCLOCK_HOURS_INCCLOCK_HOURS_SETCLOCK_MINUTES_DECCLOCK_MINUTES_INCCLOCK_MINUTES_SETCLOCK_SECONDS_ZERO
Thanks - do any of those allow you to start/stop/reset the stopwatch? cheersAndrew
What aircraft is the stopwatch in? If you have the registered version of FSUIPC4 you can use the facility to list local variable (L:Var). You might find a L:Var in that list that controls the stopwatch. I'm pretty sure that the items listed by the previous post only affect the clock readings, not a stopwatch. back on the L:Var subject, if you find the one(s) you need to use just put them in a text file as per theFSUIPC4 documentation and save the file with the extension ".MCRO" into your "Modules" folder. The L:Var's listed in the MCRO file will now appear in the FSUIPC4 menu and can be used hust likeany of the standard FSX variables in that list. Paul

Hi Paul, It may be in all of them - it's simply the stopwatch in the clock. If it really takes that much work to get a stopwatch, I'll probably just use a real one ;) thanks,Andrew
