FsPassengers 66%

Featured Replies

I have a little question regarding FsPassengers and the number of passengers. I am aware there is a FsPassengers forum but as I am more active over here I decided avsim would be a better place for me to seek help. I am unsure if there is a FsPassengers forum here at avsim but I could not find one so I am posting here in FSX forum. My question is no matter what I seem to do my passenger numbers are always the same (around 66% of aircraft capacity). For example I am currently flying the PMDG J41 and with 29 seats I ALWAYS am given 19 passengers to fly to their destination. This was the same in the C340 where 3/4 of my max capacity would be used. I am aware this should change as my reputation increases/decreases but the passenger number has not changed at all even with a 5% increase in my reputation. I find this unrealistic and a slight issue which is bugging me.Any help on this would be appreciated. EDIT- I just noticed if I alter ticket prices and service quality I get more passengers. This is realistic but I'm sure if I left the prices the same the passenger load would be the same. Am I meant to change prices before every flight? Rich

FSP doesn't really vary the number of passengers much, it's based off the route (i.e. if you fly from that airport often), the ticket price (lower price attracts more people) and your airline's rating. If all things are equally high you will get either maximum or close to max passengers everytime, generally you can charge more the better your airline is. You don't get the variation of something like FSCaptain in the load; FSCaptain and FSP are usable at the same time but it's a little awkward.

The number of paxs linked to your airline popularity index etc, so this number should chnage over time. I used to use Fspassenger, but its no longer a supported product , also consider trying Fscaptain, its much better product, its more realistic, and none of the service , buy aircraft micro managing etc.

Thanks for the replies Ian and iko. Glad to know FSP will not vary much as opposed to there being an issue with my installation. I will now change my ticket prices and everything else before my flight as in the real world ticket prices to differ from flight to flight. I have been hearing a lot on FSCaptain, do you rate this program highly? Thanks guys Rich
