  1. Only because I was curious I logged into my account, proceeded to checkout and to my surprise the price was $30. The only issue is that I have never purchased the 737 for 2020. I purchased the 737 for P3D and every other previous PMDG product but never the 737 for 2020. Website bug perhaps?
  2. Give this a go… https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/found-a-way-to-install-just-flight-planes-into-2024/693819?u=ryanbatc Haven’t tried it myself though.
  3. Let us know how performance is when you get a chance. Thanks
  4. I’m in the same situation and think I will be going with Steam but am unsure about which version. Looking through the differences the thing that’s tempting me with Premium Deluxe is the additional airports, places like Cape Town, Frankfurt, Denver or San Francisco are places I’d like to fly into but am unlikely to buy specific add-on scenery for. Would you say the 10 additional ‘high quality’ airports included with Premium Deluxe are worth it from a quality point of view? (They are airports I am interested in flying into). Thanks
  5. Congrats on the PPL Luke any idea of where you're going next? I just landed my first real world job/place at commercial flight school here in the UK so I guess we both have reasons to celebrate! Well done. Rich
  6. A fully public Prepar3d V2. Rich

Ok it seems I was stupid enough not to notice the big list of fixes posted by Ryan at the top of this forum anyway this got it fixed; - CTD on load that results from errors in the runways.csv or ARPT_RWY.dat files. If you're getting a CTD upon selecting the airplane or pressing Fly Now, please try deleting these two files. runways.csv is in the root FSX folder, and ARPT_RWY.dat is in theFSX\PMDG\NAVDATA folder. runways.csv can be remade using Pete Dowson's MakeRunways.exe tool, found at his website. Firstly I have submitted a support ticket but as it is the weekend I am unsure if I will receive a reply. I have had the 777 working flawlessly for a few days but after loading a flight this morning the sim crashed with this message: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BEX Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61637.0 Application Timestamp: 46fadb14 Fault Module Name: PMDG_777X.DLL Fault Module Version: 1.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 52256029 Exception Offset: 0022035a Exception Code: c0000417 Exception Data: 00000000 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: c9d3 Additional Information 2: c9d3e16f2241fd57c48e25c18cdeeb83 Additional Information 3: 758c Additional Information 4: 758c2144cfc46526b175ba65657aab22 After searching the forums I seem to be the only person having the issue but has anyone got any ideas? Rich
  9. When flying a PA-28 the fuel pump is usually checked pre-flight, turned on for takeoff and approach/landing and switched on when changing fuel tanks and switched off again when the tank has been switched over. Rich As dmbusmc said the pump is usually used for takeoff, landing and switching tanks. Rich
  10. Those shots from the REX forum look great but does anyone know which sky themes are being used in the shots with the 757? http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/14771-natural-enbplus-download-included/
  11. Well I for one was not expecting this: https://www.facebook.com/Carenado
  12. That could well be a reason good thinking. Rich
  13. The only tweaks I use are jobscheduler, highmemfix and LOD radius. Do you mind me asking what's the fastest aircraft you can fly before you get blurries? also what frame limiters you use if any? Rich
  14. If I experience a lot of blurries with FTX regions will I get blurries with global too? I get no blurries whatsoever with defualt/gex/utx but with FTX they start to appear within a minute of leaving the airport in an aircraft over 150kts. Rich
  15. Did you ever come up with a way to reduce the blurries in FTX regions? I get 0 blurries without FTX enabled but as soon as it's turned on I get them within minutes. I have tried with different settings and frame rate limiters but nothing seems to stop them completely unless I fly something extremely slow like the trike. Rich
  16. I think it is pretty safe to say PMDG won't be picking this project up. They might but it just doesn't seem to be their way of doing things at all. Aerosoft on the other hand I think would be the most likely contender - or fslabs perhaps. Rich
  17. What a ridiculous statement! Rich
  18. Everyone welcome Ferd back to the forums. Rich
  19. Personally I have always though PMDG were developing an Airbus or at least exploring the possibilities of doing on Airbus but were keeping it quite in case they decided it was too much work or just too complex to develop to the extent that they like. Rich
  20. Some good stories about your flying career. As someone trying to break into the aviation industry it would be great to hear what stories an experienced Captain like yourself has to tell. Rich
  21. I wouldn't get ahead of yourself he has said the maintenance work will be carried out between the 16th April and 1st of May not that the 777 will be released on that day. I think all we can safely assume from this post is that the 777 will not be released before May the 1st. Rich
  22. Yeah smaller trees would definitely improve the sim. I thought the smaller trees used in MS Flight gave it a much more realistic look when compared to Fsx. Rich
  23. I remember when Avsim used to be such a nice place. Rich G
  24. 30,000 views in a day and a half. wow. Rich
  25. Yeah they run some BA courses where I study. I believe they are ramp crew and aircraft mechanic courses which basically allows BA to pay them less as they are not licensed engineers but just mechanics - still a great opportunity with job prospects from a young age. Rich
