January 22, 200422 yr Guys, Im not normally a B767 fan, but having fired up these Sunny 767's found in the library, I must say I am extremely (extremely) impressed. Multiple models, highly accurate. I like the posky and other models available, but these are now my default. For the 767 series, I myself will be treating these like the FFX models for the 737 and DC10...simply the "go to" models to fly.its my hope that the repainters here will do more with these models. I know Shane Strong has produced some stuff in air canada livery. I think that folks like Steve Drabek and Hornit and others would do a great job on these suckers as well.Only issue with these is that I'd love to see some models without VC's because it conflicts with the good 2D panels with multi views that are available. Besides that would lower the poly count on the models. My 2 cents... :-) Try these planes. They are among the best available.Eric AND
January 22, 200422 yr oh...and since Im giving a fairly obnoxious plug to these planes..:-)I'd also love to see some Qantas/BA/JAL/DAL/UA/COA/USA/KLM skins...I'll work on some of these myself!Eric AND
January 22, 200422 yr Hi Eric,Yep, great work of art by Sunny Xia, not to mention the paints by Shane Strong. Glad to see you have taken a liking to it too. :)JohnCi asked to see some screens shots of it. Well I don't know if he ever looked at the ones I took for him, but I just took a quick few to show what it looks like in the Zoom livery. For anyone that wants a little look at the Sunny 767 GMAX Version 3 you can find my shots here...http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...&mesg_id=111971The last shot is of the VC.When I installed Sunny's 767 I decided to look for a Sound Set also. I found one at the www.allnodesbusy.com site (what the heck, I'm a member there so it's not too busy for me ;) ) and I found one that was 26 MB's in size by Mark Governali. OMG!!!! I was almost literally blown away when those babys spool up all the way! I felt like I was one of the guys who stands on the tarmac and guides the planes around. (What's that job called?) I need his pair of earmufflers! :-lol In case your're interested in knowing what the filename is it's: 777sndu1.zip and the description says it's for 757-767-777's. I think it's done off of Pratt and Whitney's.Cheers,Jim - KDEN
January 22, 200422 yr I wish Sunny would produce a version without the VC. It conflicts with panel sets that have 2D side views etc. Eric AND
January 22, 200422 yr I wish someone would do a panel that didn't conflict with the VC! Hey, I'll take what I can get for free and keep my mouth shut. Thanks Sunny! [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
January 22, 200422 yr Endeed, it rocks this aircraft.>I'd also love to see some Qantas/BA/JAL/DAL/UA/COA/USA/KLM>skins...@ejoiner, if you head over to http://www.ai-china.net/main.asp they have KLM and American repaints as well as 3-4 Chinese airliners like Air China and Southern I think :) I second the BA (world tails?) wish!!Note: You need to register to be able to download so hopefully the author will put them up at AVSim sometime soon :)
January 22, 200422 yr I did look at the shots...and thanks Jim.... It looks nice. I'm just trying to see how I can manage downloading the package on dial-up :)
January 25, 200422 yr I love the work, but the VC has some problems. It detracts from an otherwise great great bird. Im doing some Martinair skins for it right now. Eric AND
January 25, 200422 yr thanks for the comments guys there is a edit recomendation for panels and a new vc setting point i put into one of my air canada uploadsi just deleted the side views on my panel so when you look sideways you get the vc and i put you in the pilots postion instead of behind himshane
January 25, 200422 yr Another remedy for us 2D guys is to move the viewpoint in the cockpit forward about 4-5 feet, it works fine and I dont see the VC at all in most nodels which have one. I like good 2d side views instead of VC's personally. Eric, Im about Delta'd out if you know what I mean. hoping you do one of these in the old livery for me :)Hornit
January 25, 200422 yr suspect me or Drabek will do one... :-) Much depends on the version of the model. The one Im working on now is a B763-ER of the B model variety with PW engines. Martinair used those. Asiana did too, but can probably wedge a DAL B767-332 in old livery in...how about N134DL? This one also uses the same configuration as the ones I am fooling with now. I put a screenshot at flightsim.com. The ss forum here wont work for me for some reason. Every time I try to post a screen shot it keeps failing, asking me for my password even though IM already successfully logged on. I dont post sshots here anymore because of that.Eric AND
January 25, 200422 yr big thing to note guys i found this when painting the version at ai-china is older then the one at avsim there is texture mapping issues in the models at ai-china i checked and all the ones in the base pack here are newer and fix the mapping issues for the doorsbut i think you need the ai china pack for the 200's textures as they are missing in the base pack here loli think i would of done better drawing this on a map :)shane
