a computer fan question

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I am new into this hobby and not so expert about computing and my question might seem stupid to some. I try to complete a PMDG MD-11 tutorial flight on my new laptop and during cockpit preparation before flight, the fan of the laptop works full. I know that is normal but is it safe for my computer?Thank you in advance

I think so because MD 11 and FSX together are bit heavy for any computer or laptop

i would say yes thats normall as your askin alot from a laptop.I7 or not. And make sure you have the laptop an a flat hard surface to allow airflow to the underneath.

Regards

Luke M

The processor is running at or close to 100% when running FSX so yes the fan will need to work hard to keep things cool. Mark.

If you are worried about it, you can search online for utilities that will show you what temperatures various components in your computer are running at, for example, this one: http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/overview.htm Al

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Read about laptop coolers, then search Google for a "laptop cooling pad". Cheers, - jahman.
