October 14, 201114 yr I have a friend who had FSX on his XP computer. He was wiped out in a flood and had some of his old computer files saved on a hard drive. He now has WIN7 64 bit. He installed FSX Gold and it works OK. I have been trying to help him but I know nothing of WIN7 64 bit. He has a lot of his old modified aircraft saved on another drive. He also has the gauges and effects saved on another drive. Can he copy and paste the old modified airplanes into his new SimObjects\Airplanes folder and do the same with the required gauges and effects? Will they work OK? I have read on this and other forums that there might be problems with DX10 Preview being on. Can someone please help us. Thanks, Bob.

October 14, 201114 yr Author No problem at all Bob except for addons that have an entry in Windows registry and thus need to be reinstalled. Hi. Thanks. Most installed freeware planes do not install anything in the registry, isn't that true? He has the LVLD 767 which he paid for and I am sure that it puts entries in the registry. So he will have to contact Flight One and get a new key or just buy it again. What is the scoop on the DX10 Preview? Should he leave it enabled or disable it? Best regards, Bob.
