October 17, 201114 yr I have a bgl that was created with SCASM Ver. 2.88. I want to disassemble it to XML to modify it. I have tried all the BGL-XML analyzers and none work. I have heard of a bgl2xml_gui_92.zip but can't locate it. Does anyone have a way to disassemble it to XML? Thanks, bob.

Thanks, bob.Hi Bob:BGLAnalyze version 3.1 by Winfried Orthmann may yield a more readily use-able *.SCA output file. That package can be found here at AVSIM file download library.Hope this helps ! :-)GaryGB
October 17, 201114 yr If it was created with SCASM then it is not in a format that can be decompiled into XML. SCDIS would decompile it into ASM code, Bgl2Xml_Gui will not help although it can be downloaded from www.downloadcenter.scruffyduck.org.uk Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com
October 17, 201114 yr Author Hi Jon. Thanks. Where can I get SCDIS? I don't see it there. I did get the Bgl2Xml. Best regards, Bob.
October 17, 201114 yr "Bumped" for edits to my post above.PS: Consider also using Arno's ModelConverterX (aka "MCX")... see MCX support forum at fsdeveloper.com GaryGB
October 17, 201114 yr SCDIS has a page here http://freesc.sourceforge.net/scdis.html As Gary says MCX may help but perhaps you need to tell us exactly what you are trying to do with this Bgl file? Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com
October 17, 201114 yr Author Hi again Jon. I am trying to help a fellow simmer who asked me if I had a way to disassemble a particular bgl file to XML so he could edit the location or objects of the scenery, I assume. We both have tried all the converters with no success. I looked at the bgl with a HEX Editor and saw it was a SCASM Ver. 2.88 file. I got the SCDIS program and it did yield a .sca file which is readable with Notepad. It gives the location, etc. of the scenery objects. I have sent the program back to my friend. Thanks for all the help. Bob.
