Listening to real life ATC as I fly

Featured Replies

I've heard a few ATC add-ons which sort of are similar to real life ATC procedures, but is there one where you can just listen to the ATC while it's giving directions to the other planes. I don't really want to talk to the ATC. For example, if I live in Calgary, is it possible to tune the real life Calgary control tower and listen in?

Cielosim does have a nice program that integrates, based on liveatc, live atc in the cockpit. Very immersive.

HelloFSchatter Live by Dave Westbury allows you to tune to LiveATC feeds and internet radio using your com2 radioIt offers printable listings of the frequency, a range function, mute key function ect. What sets this apart for me is the support I have had from the author. For some time now the last build of FSchatter has used the TAB key as a mute key so you can turn off the chatter when you need to listen to ATC instructions. unfortunately Fsuipc does not allow this key to be mapped to any buttons.A month ago contacted Dave and asked if he could add some extra keys for the mute function, I was not hopeful as the last version he had uploaded here was in 2009.Within two days he produced a version for me that allows TAB, Home, Shift, and End to be used selectable from the preferences page.Just great support
