November 5, 201114 yr Hi Gaétan...I would really recommend you buying the NGX.I was hesitating at first - but then I thought What the heck, I can always upgrade ifthe results were disappointing. However I found it really fliable, and I'm enjoying it.I am also using it with UK2000 EGGP and EGCC, and I have found no serious problems.I hope to upgrade in a couple of months, but I'm quite happy with my current setupfor the NGX.RegardsBill i7-3770K 4.2GHz, 16GB, GTX 970 4GB, Win 7 64bit, LG 38GL950G, CH Yoke/Pedals, T.16000M, GenX UK, UK2000 EGGP & EGCC, AeroSoft Gibraltar, FSC 9.5, FSL A320X, 737NGX A318/A319/A320/A321, A2A Cherokee/JF Hawk T1/Dino's EF2000, Iris Grob Tutor
November 7, 201114 yr Author Hi, I’m the fellow who started this thread. I’m back to let those of you who first responded and helped me take a decision, what finally happened.I went ahead and bought the plane, installed it without any problem, read the Introduction manual and flew the 1st tutorial. Everything went smoothly. It is quite similar to the PMDG 747-400X in many ways.I was worried about performance with the old system I have (details below). Well it turns out it is working satisfactorily even if not perfectly. In the tutorial, with clear skies, in VC I got around 15-25 FPS. In another short flight, in gray and rainy whether, I got 10-22 FPS. Mind you, on the ground, in that latter flight, the FPS occasionally dipped down to 6, but then I was busy setting up the plane, so it did not matter much. These rates are a bit lower than I have been getting with the PMDG 747-400X. I must also say that I have set AI down to 0. For the time being, I will try sticking to the 32-bit version of Win 7 since it is quite a bit of work to reinstall not only the 64-bit version of the OS, but all programs, settings, drivers, etc., and I intend to buy a new machine in Sept 2012.Once again, thanks to Leff, Johan, René and Diego for your support. I don't use Active Sky, or FS Global, whatever that is.2. I get around 20-30 FPS in default scenery/freeware upgrades, at cruise I get around 50. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
