You will typically bank to crab and then de-crab with the rudder, which is a slip, but only through the flare or on short final.If you're going to slip down the final, it would be bank into the wind, and opposite rudder, but that technique isn't common in jets and Boeing doesn't recommend it. I could have worded it differently to be a little more clear but that doesn't change anything. As noted above, we're both recommending crabbing over a slip.
