No function on Gauges and switches after reinstall

Featured Replies

Hi together, after a long time of being without my Sim I made a new installation now on my PC.Prozessor 2 x 2,4GHZ,4 GHz RamWindows XP Home, SP3FSX + AccelerationAfter that I bought (downloaded) the new 737NGX (File: PMDG737 8900 NGX TTM.exe) and made the installation. In the FSX the Aircraft loads up (slowly...), but I can't move any switches and buttons - no reaction. The displays are black. The same in the Virtual cockpit as in the 2D-View.After that I tried to reinstall my former bought 747x (File: PMDG747_400_FSX) - same problems, no reaction.I've deleted both and tried it 2 or 3 times, now I don't have any idea and I hope to your help.TnxMartin

Martin,Did you "delete" or "Uninstall"?Did you follow the FSX/PMDG setup in the manual (starts on page 11)?Why did you not come here after first installing with you installation failure question?

Of course I did - started the inst.file again and make "remove"What I noticed: there was no question about Key or download information - normaly you will be asked for some key or anything else - not here - the installation goes through without any break....

Tnx Leffe for responseYes, I'm still familiar with the handling. But after this installation no switch is functional, neither on the panel nor on the overhead, nor 2D or 3D.It must be something with my new installation, something is wrong with Add-on-Aircrafts.....The Standard-Airplanes of the FSX are ok, no problem there..No idea...Edit: I remember something like "simconnect" in the past. Could it be anything with it? Where can I search for it? Only a pale idea in the brain...

Peculiar! When first start of yhe NGX, you should have everything running if I remember it.(I always now start with Cold and Dark)It has to be Initalizing though ...takes some 30 sec.If you had no probs starting with other ac, then it shouldn´t be that for the NGX eitherSimconnect is where you have your ac.What about an uninstall and then a fresh install. You must have UAC off and also run the installer as ADM right...Did you do that?/ Leffe

Did you follow the FSX/PMDG setup in the Introduction manual (starts on page 11)?You were never asked to enter your "Purchase Key"?It has been a long time but i think my first flight started with power on.

Sounds like an activation issue. Your best bet is to open a support ticket.
