November 20, 201114 yr Hi Keith,It is more like on takeoff trimming for vy, when raising the landing gear the real plane's nose would lower by itsef and pretty much find cruise climb speed, or pulling back to 15" in the winter 17' in the summer takes you right to the top of flap speed, and lowering the gear at this point gives you a nice 500 fpm descent for glideslope-power settings that you know produce numbers that you can count on in instrument flying. I also get a manifold pressure of 27" at 10,000 ft! The fsx planes usually allow you to simulate this area very well.On the other the xplane plane "feels" more like the real plane in handling-landings especially which on fsx feel more like rail landings and I actually find hard to do. The dutch rolling in cruise in xplane really makes it feel like the real deal, and takeoffs are better too.Geofa,Thanks a bunch for this info! Keith Guillory
