November 22, 201114 yr Hey all,I was thinking if anyone is interested in flying WestJet we could start to do some fly ins and such. Just improve the activity on VATSIM and the WestJet brand alike. I have given up on the Virtual Airline since it is obvious that its going no where. Just such a great brand deserves much more then it's getting in our community. Please PM me and we can set some stuff up. All the Best,Brad Cherrington Brad Cherrington [email protected] CYYC Based
November 24, 201114 yr Although I have not seen mention of it on my VA's website American Airlines has entered a code share agreement with West Jet. I am sure American Virtual Airlines "AVA" would be happy to have you in their ranks flying the new routes. West Jet sure has a good looking livery on its aircraft. RE Thomason Jr.
November 24, 201114 yr I know this is completely OT, I was just hovering my mouse around and think I hit the report button by mistake in Blaze's reply! If I did, PLEASE disregard Mods. Sorry about that. I think it's time for bed. And yes, West Jet is one of my favorite liveries as well.
November 30, 201114 yr Be careful with the Westjet name and logos! The RW WestJet as closed down several VAs that were using the logos, etc. There is currently a WestJet VA http://www.virtualwestjet.org/ that does have an agreement with the RW WestJet Airlines. You may want to get in touch with them and see if there are some opportunities for an alliance.Blue Skies, VATSIM: P2 | I1

December 27, 201114 yr Hi Brad, The staff of Virtual WestJet has been working diligently during the latter portion of 2011 to rebuild our reputation in the flight simulation community. In fact, our movements from both new and returning pilots alike have increased by more than double on the VATSIM network alone, as well as a record amount of filed PIREPS from our offline pilots. We invite you to continue to fly for Virtual WestJet and experience the new and exciting improvements that will be featured in the new year. Your passion for all things WestJet is admirable and a key attribute of the pilots in our organization. All the best, WJA237 http://virtualwestjet.org
