  1. Hey guys So I'm getting an CTD everytime i attempt to load a flight in FSX Steam. I tested it before i loaded some of my addons on before hand and it ran fine at full setiings. and now when i Press FLY NOW! it just opens the loading screen with the I on it and then crashes shortly thereafter. Ive gotten the API.DLL and the TERRAIN.DLL. Also have gotten just unknown. I have cosnulted the AVSIM CTD guide several times and have all my settings to minimal. I have disabled all my add on scenery and am attempting to load the Trike at a default airfield. I have tried re install twice and nothing seems to be working. Anyone that could help wouid be greatly appreciated. Thanks WestJetter.
  2. Awesome I will try that. I am also running two monitors could this be the issue? Is it possible it is crashing over the same bit of scenery? Cheers Awesome I will try that. 5. Hey guys, I am having the same issue. Every time I attempt a flight over the Canadain Rockies from CYYC to CYVR for example I get a CTD. I also have My Traffic Installed but was having same issue when it was not installed. I am running the NGX with ASN and Orbx Global Vector. Not sure exactly what it is but I have ran the event viewer and it appears that ntdll.dll is crashing FSX. Thanks for any help you can provide me! Cheers, Brad
  6. Yes they are! www.simaddons.com
  7. Im a big CYYC guy so I will probably do a Calgary-Heathrow run. Can't wait for the new YYC international Terminal scenery to be done! But as long as I have a short haul (MJCQ) Medium Haul (NGX) and a Long Hauler (777) I will be a happy man!! Brad C
  8. Ok so im getting very frustrated. I am having the random bouncing problem again after updating twice! Everytime I begin to taxi the aircraft jumps violently up into the air. I updated about a week ago and it seemed to fix the issue, but now it's doing it again! Im not sure if its a conflict with an addon or something but Im not flying the Q cause of this!! Please help if you can!!
  9. Hey guys, I am having problems with the Q. Shortly after takeoff the sound is just stopping. Everything is flying ok just the sound goes away! haha. I am running ASE2012, UT2 and EZCA. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Brad
  10. If you change the CRZ ALT in the CRZ page to your new Flt Level it should adjust the profile.
  11. CYYC can't wait for the new terminal to open!!
  12. Ya works. Very confusing though. I will keep playing around and let you guys know
  13. Hey Guys I am having an issue with my takeoff roll. It is not rotating till around 175 knots no matter how hard I pull on the yoke. My trim settings are correct and my payload is normal. Just wondering what could cause this problem and if some of you have had the same issue. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Brad Cherrington
  14. I work out. Hit the bike then the weights for an hour. Do crosswords. Watch Ice Pilots or any other show. Been so long since I have done a long haul. Ever since the NGX I can't seem to jump into the 747. I usually do 5 hour WestJet Longhauls and can hardly wait to add a few hours on there with the T7. Super answers though guys, always interesting to see what the others do. Cheers
  15. I find Flight Radar 24 is really good for tracking registrations. it shows you where a perticular reg would go in a day every day. Not sure how accurate it is but thats mainly what i use Cheers Brad
  16. We have these things called lives. I dont sleep but i go out and do stuff. I don't just sit in front of a monitor all day. I can understand an hour or two but anymore it just feels crazy. Hey its great if you can sit there for 10 hours but dont talk down to those who like to walk away from their computer. Please show some maturity. Thanks and no offence im not trying to start an argument just my opinion.
  17. I believe dispatch would be in control of deciding where the planes go. Since calgary is the Hub we have quite a few aircraft that stay over night. Turn skeds basically just show what the tail comes in as and what it goes out as. The aircraft do have day plans written up but thats not really my department. Usually in other cities i will just use flightaware to track where the aircraft go in a day. Your write up is very well done though, im very impressed. Hopefully this kinda helps. Brad
  18. Very cool. Nice work. I work at WestJet and have whats called a turn sked which shows what aircraft turn into at YYC. I unfortunately cannot share this publicly. I find it very interesting to track these aircraft. They can be on one coast in the morning and they work their way to the other in just a day. Glad to hear your interest in WestJet i would gladly recommend our routes to any flightsimmer. All The Best Brad
  19. NGX Pilots, Received an older computer from a friend and these are the specs. ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 -Intel® Core™ i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz 8 gigs of RAM and 500 gig disk space I know very little about computers so if someone could comment on how this system would handle the NGX with some nice scenery that would be great!! All The Best Brad Cherrington

  21. My brother is buying a new computer and he offered me his old gaming one to have. these are the specs; ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2 -Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz 8 gigs of RAM and 500 gig disk space How would this system do with FSX?
  22. Just thought Id share my talk with a pilot at the airline I work for here in Calgary. I had a good talk about flying the other day and he really explained it well. He said that you go train in whichever way you wish to take (and there are lots of them). He said its really important just to go for it and not too look at your bank statements :). If you love it you are going to stick with it if not you can move on. But because of the hard hours and days they put in the love for the flying really has to be there to give you any hope in being successful. At the end of our conversation he gave me his card and offered to take me under his wing and help me along the process. He explained how important networking is and how it can be the difference between getting jobs. I was getting discouraged with the money factor, but just talking to one person who was really passionate about it made my perspective change immensely. I am now thinking about just going for it and if it doesn't work out I have some options out there to fall back on. Thanks for letting me share all! and happy flying! All the best, Brad
  23. Yep We are
  24. Very Cool!! I had a question. How do you track a single aircraft and where it flies too. I've often gotten off flights and wanted to track where my aircraft went after. Just wondering, thanks for sharing the pics!
  25. Sometimes I get super realistic. I plan 3 or 4 day trips. Just like real world I go on pairings. I will take a leg off here and there and pretend that im not PIC. Obviously i cant just take a bunch of days off work and fly. I like to follow real time the routes on flightaware and any changes they have. I goto the same gates with the same NG variant. Obviously I can't do this every time but I try, It's kinda fun to see how you differ from the real world flight. Before I fly i spend atleast 30 mins weather planning and checking any PIREPS that are relevant. Then I use my weather program to put the weather into the sim. I then goto the gate and begin fs2crew. Call GSX for pushback and get going. I try to fly online when I can but the coverage isn't always the best up here in Canada. Live ATC is always going though. I have fun with being realistic, I always find a need to fly from the last place I flew to. It just seems wrong to teleport. Like if I want to go fly the NGX in Europe I will fly a 767 over there. Im weird like that!! Anyways hope this was a meaningful read!! All The Best! Brad
