November 23, 201114 yr Hello,I have just gathered some information that only seven RAAF F-111's remain (from TV news). Others were sent to a rubbish dump. Most of the F-111s' parts (cockpit, anything that could cause a fire, wings) were removed, and then the F-111's were buried under rubbish. However, on the last view of the planes, I saw a faded grey aircraft. Are the planes F-111C's (the aircraft that were the first to arrive and last to be retired) , ex-USAF F-111Gs or both? This is very sad. Thanks, Kevin L
November 23, 201114 yr Author I think that it would have been better for the F-111s to have been sold to museums that could keep them in a good condition, just my two cents though.Hey, I would LOVE to have an F-111 in my backyard. (Just kidding)I hope that the majestic F-111 will fly again sometime. Thanks, Kevin L
