Have you tried the ase forums? There may be something there. I don't recall having ever read anything here about ctd's relating to the ngx & ase specifically.

I have just tried to reinstall my NGX and it seems as if it had solved my problem. Will see weather it has been solved over a longer time.

Hi there good that you got it sorted out but was wondering since i think you had mentioned you had rex as well. Was wondering if the rex weather engine was conflicting with the ase weather engine since if you dont turn off the rex weather engine it would conflict just a thought maybe got nothing to do with your original problem

No, it was definatly turned off. But I have many CTD in the latest time, I think I'll have to make a complete reinstall of my FSX anyway.

Sorry, a side question. What does ASE do more then REX ? I mean, I know you can customize the weather but what specifically you like in ASE ?Does it work with REX ?Thx

Activesky has been around since FS9 and has many years of testing, tweaking and fine tuning going for it. Put simply it's the very best weather generation program you can buy. When REX was originally released it was just a texture program, as an after thought the weather engine got added in a later version. While it is still way better than default FSX weather it can't compete with ASE. The best solution would be to have REX for the Textures and Activesky Evolution for the weather. There simply is no better combination out there.Just like for the Ground, Ultimate Terrain X and Ground Environment X compliment each other and there is no better combination available. So before you go adding a lot of airport sceneries I highly recommend you look into the following products. You get the max bang for you buck.Activesky Evolution (Weather Generation)Real Environment X (Sky and Water Textures)Ground Environment X (Ground Textures)Ultimate Terrain X (Terrain)GS Global or FS Genesis (Mesh)
