December 4, 201114 yr Hi,Yesterday i felt like turning in light bloom and getting some screenshots, so after I did that I thought I turned it off...Then this afternoon i started EDDM-KBOS, with the McPhat textured PMDG 744, needless to say, the textures were seriously pixelated to what I've seen on the same flight with light bloom OFF.Any help?
December 4, 201114 yr Light bloom seriously stresses your system. Your framerates will be much lower and stutters may occur. Thus, it may well degrade the appearance of the textures. The ENB mod solves this problem for me and many others. Lightbloom with no impact on performance (it can impact a little bit if you use too high settings in the ini file though on weaker systems).Something i did notice was that the FSX inbuilt bloom doesn't seem to have such a performance hit in DX10 preview mode, but that mode casuses a few other issues, so I don't use it - primarilty no anti-aliasing.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)
December 4, 201114 yr The ENB mod solves this problem for me and many others.IANI use the built-in bloom effect when I fly in low intensity situations with aircraft that are easy to process such as the Super MD80 and in areas w/o huge terminals and population density. It is so gorgeous during dawn/dusk that as long as you restrict use to easy to process flights there is only minimal downside.I find the ENB mod ruins image sharpness so while the performance hit is less the IQ is poorer, so I don't use it ever. The built-in bloom does not impart this damaging effect in image sharpness unless as you say you are in a situation where it impairs texture loading and so leads to blurriness.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync.
