December 9, 201114 yr Had anyone else had a problem with the flaps on an approach? On final, flaps 30 set, at vref speed. Then the flaps retract on their own to 20° and I get a repeating clicking noise (same sound as normal flaps). The only way I can get flaps back to 30° for landing is to manually extend flaps using Saitek throttle/flaps lever. Thanks for any help. P.S. yes I've installed sp1 update. December 9, 201114 yr Author Don't believe so. I'm well below max flap speeds when this occurs. Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
December 9, 201114 yr Commercial Member You're sure the Speech System didn't somehow hear "Flaps 20"? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 9, 201114 yr Author Definitely not. This happens every time I use the 767.I wonder if it could be related to the fix I installed to overcome the FMS data loss once you start the engines? The fix works fine and everything else functions okay. But for some reason the flaps go into run-on mode. They go to 30° when requested, "flaps 30 set", and the gauge reads 30°. But a few seconds later the 'clicking' starts and when I look at the gauge it reads 20°. I'm stumped. December 9, 201114 yr Commercial Member I'm afraid I don't know. I don't recall anyone else reporting this one.Is there anyway you can temporarily uninstall that fix to test? B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
December 9, 201114 yr Author I'll give it a try. Thanks Bryan. Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
December 10, 201114 yr Author Found the problem Bryan. For some reason having the reverse box ticked on my flaps axis in my settings causes an issue with the flaps in the 767. Weird huh? Anyway, love your work and cannot wait for the 737 fs2. LOVE that plane! Eric Grindstaff - MacAir COO Millennium Aviation Company - Macairvirtual.com - The VA with a choice!
