December 16, 201114 yr I'm flying most ot the time with historical weather. Because my departure times are always given as local time I have to load the flight plan first, then download the historical weather and finally load the flight plan again to install the weather-influenced textures. It would be nice to have an option to install the weather-influenced textures after downloading historical weather so I do not have to load the flight plan twice. Or do I missed something?RegardsWolfgang Wolfgang Schroeder
December 16, 201114 yr Load up AS2012 as per normal, let it setup and stablize. Select your historical weather you want to fly with (I use GMT time for accuracy). Then enter/import your flight plan...process it. Install the weather influenced textures when prompted (note: if you have FSX running at this time, you will not notice a difference...you must restart FSX or import the textures when FSX is not running).Once the graphics are generated/imported, start FSX and away you go! December 16, 201114 yr That's the point I was thinking of when reading the manual few minutes ago. Thanks for bringing this up. I would see it as setting planned departure in Zulu time on FPL page in AS2012/ASE Bartłomiej Ender
December 16, 201114 yr Author The point is, I only know the local time for departure and the local time depends on the departure airport. So before loading the historical weather the departure airport has to be defined. Sure I can manually convert the local time to Zulu but this requires to search the internet for the time offset. That's the reason why I think it would be nice to have the option to install the wx-influenced textures also from the historical screen.RegardsWolfgang Wolfgang Schroeder

December 17, 201114 yr Author I've one more question: When I download historical weather with the option 'Local' checked, the local time is always interpreted as the PC local time. Is this by design? If it is, it would be nice to have an option to interpret 'Local' as the local time of the departure airport if a flight plan was previously loaded, or the station selected in the report screen if no flight plan is loaded RegardsWolfgang Wolfgang Schroeder
