December 21, 201114 yr Hi guys.A couple of days ago I turned my rig in for an OC at my local computer-pusher. I have no idea how to do it by my self, and he does for around 50USD, so it's ok...Now my question is:- say my local dealer gets my i7 920 running at 3.5 or there around Ghz, with a new cooler of course - what about my graphics card?He mentioned that my current card (Nvidia GTS150) is not much, but as I understand it, FSX is more about CPU that graphics card?On the other hand, I don't want to run 3.something Ghz only to see bottled up in a poor graphics card...In your opinion, what would be an adequate graphics card to accomodate a faster CPU clock? My funds are limited, so I'm looking to find that card, that will just cut it to match the faster CPU...?Thx for reading!Mas Martin Jensen

December 21, 201114 yr Author I would go for a GTX 550ti or a GTX560.Ben - thx for your suggestion! The GTX 550ti comes out cheaper (not much, but still) than the other (here in Denmark that is). The difference is about 80 USD - do you think the difference is worth the 80 USD? Both cards are within my pricerange, so it's a matter of value for money I would say!Mas Martin Jensen

May I ask what cooling system you run to keep that 4.1 under control? Is just enough, or is the cooler more than enough? Just to have something to compare when my dealer suggest a cooler. Thx for your contribution Don!MasMas Martin Jensen

Thx for your contribution Don!MasMasI use the Prolimatech Megahalem cooler, with two ea 120mm fans in push/pull config.Keeps the cpu relatively cool, hottest I have seen it get was around 80c, ( actual core temps and that was running 20 passes of LinX maxed out to use all memory as well to check for stability.Stays in the 60's c on the cores whilst running FSX. The 920 was a great chip for overclocking...You are welcome, and have fun with that overclocked rig! Don B
