February 13, 200422 yr I'm considering buying the Carenado F33 Bonanza, but I'm under the impression that I need to buy the FS2002 version, then buy the patch. Is this correct? The total would come to $21.50 and I want to make sure it's worth that much.

February 13, 200422 yr Was that the deal - buy the 2k2 and the upgrade for $22? Worth it?EDIT> Nevermind, misread that. You have the c310. At least I'm subscribed now...Best,sg [email protected] | 32gb RAM | EVGA GTX1080 8gb | Mostly P3Dv5 (also IL2:BoX, DCS, XP11)
February 13, 200422 yr The F33a is a great plane Timbo but I don't know if it's worth $21.50, depends on how much you like the F33A... Carenado needs to offer a full FS2k4 version that's already upgraded. February 13, 200422 yr I'm really curious about the way the F33 is being advertised. I thought it was originally a FSDS project.... Their upgrade touts "GMAX effects" (dynamic shine and reflections)... But it sure seems like the upgrade is simply one from an FSDS aircraft to an FSDS 2 aircraft, since I can't see any major difference between the old and new F33... Not that there's anything wrong with that--I think a well done FSDS 2 aircraft (like the recent upgrade to Yannick's Robin or Eaglesoft's Premier) looks every bit as good as a GMAX aircraft. I'm just curious, if they did use FSDS 2 to perform the upgrade, why use the phrase "GMAX effects?"....Depending on how the V35 turns out, I may very well get that aircraft... It's a classic--I used to go to Napa airport back in the 60's w/my father and watch the Bonanza's doing touch 'n go's..... Beautiful aircraft...that vtail sure makes it look like a bird in flight....-John
February 14, 200422 yr Author I personally prefer the V35, but it is tied to real world relationships. I think it is a great plane. Have no reason to not believe that the F33 would be equal. Just depends on whether you want to be a Bonanza pureist or not.
