unwanted view cycling

Featured Replies

Hi, I am new to the forum so apologise if I am asking about something already covered, could not see my problem discussed.I have recently reverted to FS9 after failing with FSX. I have a Dell XPS linked to a Go Flight system, Saitek rudder pedals and a CH Flight Sim yoke. My problem started in FSX and has migrated to FS9 when reinstalled. My view automatically cycles through Cockpit, Virtual, External and Tower views without touching anything. I have searched for conflicts but without success. This never happened when I originally used FS9.Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.Happy Holidays everyone.K

Have you looked at the key assignments and deleted whatever is programmed to be switching the views then reprogramming that key?

Probably one of your yoke buttons has automatically assigned to the wiew command. This happens when you plug hardware in for the first time. Are you using any hardware software for assignments. Are you using FSUIPC for assignments ?

I am not using FSUIPC but notice that S is set to change views as are 2 buttons on the top of the left side of the yoke. Should I delete the S function and reprogram for buttons only? Thanks for responding.

Sounds more like the yoke button is the problem - it's spiking. Delete the button assignment instead. Unless you can fix that button any command you reassign to it will sporadically activate.

Regards,

Mark
