CH Throttle Quadrant

Featured Replies

Amazing, some time ago CH entertained the thought of a jet/GA style throttle but put it on the back burner for lack of interest. Later, they came to this forum and were practically begged to produce it.Well they came thru and after the announcement it took almost 3 days for any discussion on it to rear its head. Judging from the number and tone of the posts the reception is pretty chilly which is what they were afraid of in the first place.I for one have already placed my order for the B767 throttle but then I mostly fly the PIC-767. However, I will also order CH's. Why, simple, because I was one of those who came begging for them to produce and I do like to fly GA aircraft at times. I just hope FSUIPC can sort out all the button assignments.

I'll definitely get one for me. It's hard to fly multi-engine in FS9 with only one throttle control...ALthough CH's throttle doesn't look that great, I bet I'll have a lot of fun using it...

I am one of those that sent an email to CHP asking them to consider the TQ. And you better believe I will get it. The Simavionics TQ may be pretty, but who has 350 bucks to spend on just a Jet TQ?Personally? I fly 95% of the time, GA aircraft. And I am sure, with the amount of GA aircraft being released and those still in the development stages by FSD(Avanti/Aerostar/Navajo/Cheyenne), F1 & Dreamfleet(ATR/Cessna Conquest, 421/310/Archer/Cardinal), Carenado(T37/B33/C210), Eaglesoft(BeechJet, Citation). Not forgetting the multitude of unbeleivably awesome freeware aircraft GA and Jets that are out there and those yet to be released, and you can see why a TQ by CHP is in great demand, and will be snatched up by eager Captains.Nevermind those you see here complaining, I bet you within the year these same persons will decide to buy it and then wonder how they flew without it!! Beleive me I've been there.

I will probably buy it unless Simavionics decides to come up with a competitive product. I would rather add another $100 to the price but get something that is much more pleasing to my senses ...Michael J.

I'm definately getting one of these. I only fly GA single and twin aircraft, I'd love to see them make a single engine "Cessna" type throttle. I emailed the Director of Sales and Marketing at CH about the idea, and got an email back that it would be forwarded to the R&D team.Doubt they'll make one though, but maybe if enough people email and ask for the same thing they'll put it out.

A year ago, I was ready to build my own quadrant, for lack of a versatile and affordable product. When I learned that CHproducts would produce one, I decided to wait for it. CHproducts' quadrant may not look as real as a dedicated cessna or 757 quadrant, but it sure looks better then anything I would've come up with! It's exactly what I want: just a sensible tool to control multiple levers. I don't need a cockpit that looks just like the real one, since I fly lots of different planes. and don't have the room for a complete homebuilt cockpit anyway.I will definately buy one, as soon as they become avaulable in Europe.
