$350 is quite a punch though..the SRP on the CH is $179. Of course, yours looks much cooler. :)

...and if you're really into heavies. For GA stuff, the CH product should do nicely.

>...and if you're really into heavies. For GA stuff, the CH>product should do nicely.Yeah - but I am a bit disappointed by looking at whatever photo is available on their website. The whole thing looks very unispiring and I wonder about some key features like the beta/reverse range(for my favorite turboprop operations). So when I compare both quadrants the one above for $350 seems actually "less" expensive considering its die-cast construction and infinitely better looks. I wish it was however more generic and not so tied to the 757/767 but otherwise I have to congratulate simavionics for coming up with a fabulous product.Michael J.

I agree. I'm planning on getting a CH quadrant when they're available, but if SimAvionics could come up with a more generic GA-like quadrant I'd definitely be very interested. That's a HOT looking 757 quadrant! And the metal construction is quite appealing. If it's as good as it's specs indicate, it's a real deal at $350.

any idea if the CH Throttle would work if I'm using the older game-port Yoke and pedals?- dcc

Question from an ol' steam cockpitter : will you ever get to *touch* that great looking 757 quadrant handles or is it just look ?? Pretty steep price for only 'look but don't touch' . :-roll Agreed, eyecandy wise, the CH quadrant can't even sit in the shadow of that magnificent looking 757 thing ( saw a similar one for the 737 somewhere...) someone called it a meatloaf that's gone off which pretty much covers it, but you can use it with any number of recip engined aircraft and atleast get to *touch* all of them handles! In my book that's what it's all about. :( Jan

>Pretty steep price for only 'look but don't touch' . :-roll That would take probably someone with higher security level to decipher it *:-* Michael J.

>Looks cheap and nasty compared to Simavionics offering. I>know where my mail will go :)Agreed with the former, but as for the latter - there's no prop or mixture lever..!:-)The programmability of the CH means it has far more versatility for a lot less money. Bang for buck it wins, hands down. It also scores a clear 10.0 in the Ugly awards, but I fly in a darkened room, so it won't hurt my eyes too much !Allcott

You can. It comes with a number of throttle, mixture and prop 'ends' in the same style as used on the CH Yoke.I.e. you can assign 2 throttles, 3 or 4 etc. and use the rest as required.

>Ditto here. It also looks like you can remove the handles and>reconfigure the unit e.g. You should also be able to change the color of the actual plastic handles and have it either black, red or blue. But I am afraid this is not going to be the case. For $180 CH could have provided us with some minimal color to make the whole thing a bit more attractive. Instead they chose the path of the absolute least resistance.Michael J.
