Unable to activate voice

Featured Replies

Hi BrianI wonder if you can help... I am no longer able to activate the voice button on the control panel for any of the FS2Crew packages that I have. All was working the other day and now the first officer talks but I cannot answer. My OS is Windows 7 64 and speech recognition set to English US. I run the speech training ok so the mic is picking up...not aware of having done anything to the computer. I have reinstalled the Ifly FS2Crew voice on FS2004 but it still does not work, even after running the Ifly config again...the rest also don't work (Maddog, PMDG 747, Wilco 737, LVD 767). In the UK so initial computer language not a problem, an the headset is not new.Any thoughts??RegardsRich

Hi Rich,If it worked before, and then stopped working out of the blue, then something must have changed on your system. If the Voice Button does not stay on, it means there is a fault with the Speech Recognition engine.9 times out of 10, it's because the users does not have their Speech Language set to English - US.But you said yours is set to English - US.In the manual, there is a link to a Speech Recognition error log. Please send me the log.But if it just stopped working out of the blue, you may need to repair Windows 7. Maybe something got corrupt.

Hi Rich,That's it.Try re-downloading a fresh copy of FS2Crew and re-installing.Maybe the gauge became corrupt.I can't explain how that would happen out of the blue if it worked perfectly before. Something must have changed on your system. Also run a full virus scan on your computer, defrag and make sure all drivers are up to date.Best,

Hi BrianThanks for the suggestions, still no joy...back to buttons and Call for the Wilco 737. VoiceBuddy 3 also no longer working so Windows must be done in although can still do the voice training on the speech recognition panel. Have tried using SDK51 but no joy there also. :sad:CheersRich

just as a qurie when did you install the wilco 737 reason is that people have complained in the ngx forum about instaling the wilco planes that aftr they have installed that none of the pmdg plane would work since the wilco had altered the ddls. So was wondering if it cud have done something to fscrew2?
