How long would we wait until MS puts new landscapes on FLIGHT?

Featured Replies

I think MS is waiting to see how well the Hawaiian chain sells before they start on other areas, and if they do I'd wager they'll be doing Carribean island, and sticking to islands. As far as "when", probablly a year (6-8 months if Flight is a hit.)

Paying for planes and scenery which is on par with the default FSX planes and scenery does not strike me as being too enjoyable. Maybe this is why they are making up for the blandness with X-box style achievements? But as for when they'll provide more DLC? I don't know but I imagine they would want to milk this title for as long as they can.
Your take on the quality is a tad crule, what we've seen with the leaked videos of the Big Island is something closer to what ORBX can deliver. With the Official Pics and vids, MegasceneryX O'ahu with ENBseries (REX helps too) can match that. So MS is getting better, granted they focoused attention on Hawaii (that's why the improvement shows.)As far as aircraft quality, freeware modelers can deliver the same quality, time and resources of course limit them. If say Andreas Koerner had the equipment MS used and the same time the multiple salaried developers had, his Icon A5 would be an absolute match. (As it is, it's very close.)If Flight ever gets an airliner it'd be on par with POSKY and Project Airbus. Again MS has the advantage on focousing on ~6 GA, instead of spreading the love with other aircraft types.
