well FS9 works just fine and the PMDG NG hasn't received an update to fix known issues. i still use FS9 for personal simming. to many performance problems and bugs in FSX.

 

and that is my point ... at some point distributers/developers stop supporting software.

Fs9 is well known ot be a more stable platform than FSX; It din't go through the SP's FSX has undergone,specially SP2 which ruined a lot of stuff; Some if not most of the software I use was updated and remade for SP2 either through patches or simple downloads, A good example is premierarircraft design. Unfortunately theire main designer passed away and that has forced them to close...But still the site is open and all their updates and support is available,and this is a freeware site
