Does anybody know what LE means?

Featured Replies

Hi i was looking at the phenom 100 that wilco has launched and it say it was one of their "LE" products and i couldn't understand what that meant... i know they have the "PIC" products like the 737 or the airbuses but i never saw a LE product...

FeelThere LE Level of SimulationSometimes you just want to fly, or you are new to flight simulation, and don't wish spend 30 minutes preflighting an aircraft. Maybe today you don't want to spend much effort to create a flightplan and programming a flight management computer. feelThere LE aircraft are designed to be detailed enough to immerse you in the simulation experience and quickly get into the air from power-up to takeoff. Many systems are modeled, just not every system. You will find the level of detailed is greater than any flight simulator default aircraft. The systems that are modeled behave correctly; or are only slightly simplified. LE aircraft are designed for fun … which is the point for playing Microsoft's Flight Simulator.

oh thank you, i thout many times what it meant and couldn't figure it out...

  • 2 months later...

Could also mean " Limited Edition" My GC is an NVidia 7500 LE It took me ages to figure out it meant Limited Edition...Because of discontinuation; This would be typical Wilco.

phenom 100 that wilco has launched

wilco has NOTHING to do with the phenom. the product is 100% feelThere's. wilco is one of many outlets you can buy the product. you can purchase the Phenom directly from feelThere -

i never saw a [wilco] LE product...

again, because it isn't a wilco product. 'LE' is a feelthere designation that means -

Because of discontinuation;

where do you get any information? the Phenom has been discontinued?! provide me details and a source you have for your statement as such information is incorrect.

I never meant to say Phenom was discontinued. I applied to wilco and feelthere for support, as adviced by you in the feelthere forum on the Legacy's Landing Lights...Never got a reply but the the Legacy had been discontinued.Though they still sell it at SP2 compatible, though without Landing and taxi lights. The production continues fro SP2 with AC's like the Piaggio which does have lights; I simply never understood why feelthere never bothered making a fix or patch for Legacy? Your last post regarding this issue from Emit/Forums:

"feelThere updated the product for free. feelThere followed microsoft's SDK. the aircraft worked with FSX and FSXsp1. then microsoft broke it's own rules (ie, the SKD) and broke the aircraft.

feelThere has never hid that the legacy was a 'ported' aircraft from FS9 to FSX.

and with that this thread is locked.

if you wish to see updates the the legacy contact wilco".

I have contacted Wilco several times by filling in theire support request form,,,But I have yet to hear from them...

feelThere has not provided support for the Legacy since late october 2008 ... that would be 3.5 years ago.

the Legacy was released in mid-2006 ... that would be almost six years ago.

you dig up a post from late 2008? the Legacy is OLD ... a legacy program.

wilco still controls the Legacy and wilco will need to decide if wilco wants the Legacy to be updated.

Scoob, thanks for your reply.I know Legacy is old,i have had it all these years and have hoped for an improvement on this particular issue.

Contacting wilco via theire support form which I have done sevral times.onlyto get an unsatisfactory reply " Contact feelthere!...And here's where the ball beggins to go back and forth...?

I dug up this topic in hope that something new had happened???

Contact feelthere!

no ... wilco, in their response, states that there is an unofficial non-technical forum hosted by feelThere.

feelThere provides NO technical support for these WILCO PRODUCTS: airbus (any version), 737 v1, 737 v2 'evo' for FSX, legacy, CRJ, 777, ejets v1, erj v1, CX, caravan and TOWER-sim.

feelThere provides support for feelThere products: ejet v2, erj v2, phenom, TOWER 2011, and TRACON 2012.

Ok, i guess Legacy will never have landing lights again in FSXS SP2. Thank you Scoob.

Your comment makes me loose all hope Scoob; If you in your position at feelthere.com can't manage to get news or updates, what are the chances?

Bringing another independant software manufacturer doesn't help matters ?

the point is that no software title is updated forever.

and 'independent' software developers are going away ... MS closed that down with 'Flight'.

Thanks for your reply Scoob:Perhaps not forever...But for as long as the sim they were intended for works...Like FSX & Captainsim products; I purchased the cap727 for FSX, that has undergone several updates for FSX; Perhaps It might not be incomporated into Flight, But from what I have read X-plane plans to incorporate some of theire products into the software ( Sim)...

As is the case I'm waiting for an update/revision where the cockpit sounds will be restored, without having to load the plane twice...
