January 22, 201214 yr I have two flights saved as my landing practice flight with a little bit of cross wind added in (8knts). I had been using these file for some time, over and over.Suddenly yesterday, after LOC capture and then G/S, NGX tends to be struggling to stay on LOC (G/S seems ok). Finally after taking over from AP, i also find it extremely dificult to hold on the localizer diamond and after touch down tend to end up zig-zagging down the runway, trying to hold the CL.Finally i shut all weather of with winds calm etc. and bingo, everyhting works perfectly.Could this be that the flight files finally get corrupted, because this has happened before and as soon as i set up a new flight file, everything works as it should using user defined weather. (I only use REX textures at this point, so all weather is FSX)Having said all that, i am not so sure, because also i have suddenly developed Controller/FSUIPC problems. I have suddenly developed a ptoblem with pitch on my CH yoke where, if i pull back or push forward on the yoke, it follows and then snaps back to centre as if there is a POT problem. On top of that, while trying to sort this out i notice that FSUIPC has started acting up, when if i try to move to another page in the Calibration tab, it won,t let me. Then if i exit FSUIPC and then reopen it, i can. This may or may not be the appropriate forum, but there are so many things goin on here, That it seems to involve multiple things.I will be checking out with my MD-11 and 747-400 and if it happens with them too then i guess i posted in the wrong forum.Anyhow, the bottom line is that i need some help, so any would be welcome. January 22, 201214 yr Regarding fsuipc, have you updated it? I believe Pete put one out recently. Someone else can chime in with the latest version number.I've also heard its a good idea to refresh fsuipc when you start a flight (opening & closing like you're doing)Aside from that, I don't use saved flights with anything more complex than carenado's c172, so I can't help you much there. January 22, 201214 yr I had a similar issue yesterday. Firstly I leave the runway and my plane does a right flip at about 200AGL and nosedives into the ground with nothing but gentle backpressure from me, no AP engaged, then I save a long cross-ocean flight with full VNAV and LNAV in operation; flying between waypoints; I open the save and it seems to load the route into the FMC/CDU from the beginning, but I'm over half way through; VNAV disconnects, obviously as my route doesn't work due to my position..I have sucessfully restored saved flights before with NGXCould this also be saved flight corruption? I too have registered FSUIPC and have also just installed ASE and am using REX textures same as you, since I installed ASE I've been having a few weird issues - throttles not responding, stuff like that..It's almost definitely not ASE, but it's still odd. January 22, 201214 yr Once a saved flight is corruped your pretty much screwed and the only fix would be to make a new one.I have had FSX crash on a couple flights that were long hauls and I did not want to lose the flight and start over. Sometimes when you load an FSUIPC flight it does not always load correctly or sometimes the FMC data is completely wiped out. Most times I am able to fix this by exiting FSX then reloading it and then loading the saved flight again. This of course only works provided that the Saved Flight is not corrupted. January 23, 201214 yr Author Yup that's what it must be. Set up a new approach situation and everything seems to work again. Got my pitch control back and the weather acting as i set it up. There are certain times when saving flights come in handy, especially as a learning tool.Just don't understand how it can even effect my ability to adjust settings in FSUIPC as well.Regards, Rick Hobbs
