January 31, 201214 yr At least with SW I can see the light beam, with stock lights all what I see is their reflection in the ground, where is the realism in that?I replaced the [lights] section with the following from the ShockWave forum; however, all lights are showing behind the wing instead of in front. January 31, 201214 yr In what way are you dissatisfied? What do you think the lighting should look like?I personally think that the Airbus X's lights have a nicer ground effect than the NGXs. The NGX's always seems weirdly discolored, with all kinds of purplish hues. The NGX's always seems weirdly discolored, with all kinds of purplish hues. The Aibus X lights are really awesome! They look so natural. I don't know if this is just me but on the 737NGX the lights reflection on the runways seems to be to close to the a/c. In other words it, it seems as if the light beem should have been extended further down the runway.

February 1, 201214 yr The lights during the day time were not even bright. I just bought the NGX. Do I have to reconfigure the lights?Daniel
February 1, 201214 yr Do you have screenshots to show what you speak of? You need to keep in mind that FSX doesn't simulate the varying brightness of lights from day to night. This is the reason why the Shockwave lights look so overly bright during the day. Here's a shot of a real 737 and it's lights during the day to keep to keep things in perspective. Shane Gavin

Thanks Shane, I am talking about a front on shot. I understand completely what you say. I'll have a look at a night view from the outside.....Cheers!!Daniel

February 1, 201214 yr I only see the red/purple hue in the landing lights when looking through the HGS combiner, which has a red tint and is what causes the lights to appear that way.I see it regardless of the HUD being down or not. It might have to do with the specific runway textures used, though.
