Today I got PMDG 737NGX...and ?

I'm not Alex, but for me it's immersion. I invested alot into moving away from the mouse/keyboard layup and having hardware and a FO really adds to the "as real as it gets" feeling. Now visually cockpit wise and systems PMDG wins, but for me it's lack off external support makes it just a sim and not an experience IMO.
That makes sense. Would that mean you're waiting on an NGX SDK? Or are you happily set?

Can't say I'm totally happy as PMDG does have a sweet A/C and being able to do everything via the FMC is genius. It's like one got some things right and the other got the rest right. It's going to be really interesting once Ifly releases ver 2.0 and PMDG releases its SDK. Either way I win as I own both.

-Ifly 737 is the "NGX" for fs2004-PMDG 737NGX is for FSXSimple as that..And my frames are better with the IFLY...

The only reason I, personally, can see sticking to the iFly is cost, wanting to support another add on developer, and/or the fact that it's the best FS9 'NG rendition.
You have clearly stated part of my reasoning for buying the iFly NG: I have the FSX version.Look at my post history: I believe that anyonewho attempts to enrich "our" flight simulation, should be rewarded if, we can afford to: it's really just that "plain".BTW, I cannot take offence at an honest question, I'll say it again, I am an old infantry soldier--I last served as a 92B unfortunatelyfortunately- but I'll always be infantry. It's where it was cemented for me that, we are a "team": we help each other.Vietnam Era Military Occupational Specialtieshttp://www.ichiban1....history_mos.htm 92B Medical Laboratory Specialist

Great topic. I have only purchased the PMDG 747-400 for FS9 in the last 6 months and I must say I am impressed with it since I have the earlier FS9 737NG. PMDG keep making leaps and bounds, I can't comment on Ifly since I haven't used their product. The models (but I prefer the VC really-the VC in FS9 could use some work to make the bmps more HD) are awesome of the PMDG 747-400. I may be getting the PMDG 737NGX very soon!!Daniel
